Saturday shopping

If you're a Savannah local and haven't been to the Market at Trustee's Garden, you're missing out. It's held twice a week, and supports local farmers and artists. Not only do they have the most delicious produce, dairy, plants and crafts, but it's all local! I could ramble for days about the ginormous blackberries I got last week, but watching you drool all over your keyboard is embarrassing. The market also has a farmer-chef series, restaurants serving lunch, a petting zoo and a movie. If you're not grabbing your keys yet, here's one more reason to go Saturday- me!

We'll be there, selling our pretties from 9am-3pm, this Saturday. Here's a sneak peek at some of the pieces we'll have with us. They're new and not even in the shop yet. Come by Saturday, do some shopping, say hello and buy me some blackberries, ok? Need more info? Click here for more on the market. If there's something from the website you've had your eye on, let me know and I'll make sure to bring it to the market. See you there!

Bloggity-blog love

It's raining in Nova Scotia. How do I know? Jenny is tired of the rain and looking for inspiration.

My "Storm" earrings have made it to the virtual inspiration board on her blog, Jenny The Artist. Thanks Jenny! Rain, rain, go away...

What I learned today

Sometimes, the universe wins. I spent some time taking photos today, as I've got a ton of new pieces to put on the website. The jewelry shots didn't turn out so well, but the photos I took around the house and in the garden look great. I guess the universe wants me to be a slacker today. Happy Sunday!

Coveting

Here are a few things I am coveting right now, perfect for summer, and handmade by Savannah artisans.

Tart- Panhandle Girl

One of my favorite soaps from my favorite soap-making diva. This is a staple in my home and I'm currently out. Oh, the horror!

Tybee Island Seascape-Kathryn Riechert

I'd love to be on Tybee Island today, with my toes in the sand, but I'd settle for this amazing necklace, from this amazing metalsmith.

Breezy Floral Cap- Caps for Sale

Lovely cycling cap, by a very talented cyclist (and rollergirl)! Her caps are perfect under a helmet and even have a band inside to catch the sweat, as you ride like the wind.

Enjoy your weekend!

Swoon!

It's here, it's here, it's really, really here! My brand spankin' new web makeover is up! We've been working so hard, and I'm certain Mandy's convinced I'm her pickiest and most obnoxious client. Won't you please take a look and give me your feedback. There are a few minor things still being tweaked and more pieces to be added to the shop, but one step at a time, please.
Let me have my moment, sheesh.

What I learned Today

Until recently, a two person, two dog household seemed normal. Now, the friends and family that filled it have all gone home and it seems lonely. Who knew?

Mother Nature did take pity on me, and all of the outdoor loving people in Savannah . She dried up the rain, so our party was perfect! The food, drinks, decorations and most importantly the friends made for a memorable time! Huge thanks for all of your help!

Did you know you can buy buttercream icing by the pound at the bakery? It takes 5lb. to ice 65 cupcakes, if you were curious. Now go buy yourself a vat of icing. I won't tell a soul that you're not even making cupcakes. I promise.
